About the technique of telescope selection
A sufficiently large category of people buys a telescope to someone as a gift (for example, a child). These people themselves are usually not keen on astronomy and do not want to delve into the subtleties of choosing a telescope. They just need a quick and specific answer to the question – what a good telescope can be bought for a certain amount. No less often, astronomy beginners are severely limited in the purchase budget and are not ready to give more than a certain amount for the first telescope. I made a small table of good and inexpensive telescopes, which proved to be excellent both among beginners and advanced amateur astronomers. I used many telescopes from this list personally, so I have a clear idea of certain nuances and peculiarities of use. In fact, using this service, you completely rely on my opinion, but I hasten to assure you — I will never advise a bad telescope. In any case, these telescopes fully justify their value and with the right approach, they will show a lot of interesting things in the sky. The list of telescopes will be constantly updated.
In this list there are no telescopes with a diameter less than 70 mm In my opinion, 70 mm is a minimum for a beginner amateur in astronomy. In smaller telescopes it is also possible to consider something, however the possibilities of such telescopes are much more modest.
In this case, there are not so many selection criteria – the amount of the purchase and the place of observation. There can be no astrophotograph about any of them – it is a completely separate conversation and a completely different price category. Nevertheless, simple snapshots of the moon or planets can be taken even through budget telescopes.
